Hi I live in Ontario, Canada I need to know if there's anyone or creditor's find out personal info..ie..windows 2000

Banks loan money on a trailer not in the mortgage form. It is like a car loan. The banks loan money on a house in a mortgage and usually can take the home for non-payment. The trailer is not a house. All co signers owe the bank for the loan... no one wants the trailer. Canada is too cold for a trailer .

Yes, u can first go to astro.com set up an account, with D.O.B, birth place and time you'll be able to see whom evers chart you want. then there are a few things u can do. u could go to the free chart descriptions and get a brief ideal about what Ur planets, asteroids, and houses mean, or you could pUrchase a full birth chart report which usually cost anywhere from $10-20.and if ur not satisfied with that you can always try to find your very own personal astrologer but that can get expensive most charge around $70-100 an hour. I hope this helps good luck.

Try astro.com and you will need to know the exact time and place of each other's births. It will do up a chart for free and then you can just click on each of the little signs and it will explain it for you. Of course only some of the options are free but play around with the site as you will find that much of it is free. It does charts, forecasts for long term periods and a daily horoscope. You can put like four people on your personal little list that you can check out all of their little tidbits too.

I like it and use it often.

Yes I am on the site now. For compatibility you would click on partner after you have added both you and your girlfriends info in. The relationship one is a mini and then asks you to pay for the full. I'm sure it would be a good buy but I don't buy things off the internet as a rule.

How do you make yahoo UR homepage when it somehow changed to MSN, and box to change is greyed out in

I have gone into IE and gone to the general tab where you set your homepage and everything is greyed out and it will not allow any changes, also on that one tab, General, none of the rest, the "Apply" button is also greyed out ? what causes this? And does anyone know of "Hotfix", or any kind of fix. Also, I run xp media center, but when installing is shows up as XP PRO, Xp Pro did not come with the system, and when I am in control panel and hit add/remove windows components it ALWAYS ASKS FOR XP PRO, and will not accept XP media center. Has anybody else run into this? And no matter what type of virusware, spyware, firewall, and registry utilities I use, and defrag and clean disc often, I have to COMPLETELY REINSTALL, not restore or repair, almost once a week, and this is the replacement unit, and has already in four months had the cd/dvd rom drive replace twice, do I just have bad luck, or just blind to what could be causing all of this. I have an HP Pavillion dv8000, w/ AMD turio

well, i had an h-p once.... and it was doing a lot of crazy crud (not identical) like you are getting.

if still in warranty, get ahold of h-p again and get your money back or a totally new unit. be firm with them. they love to give ya back more junk. i sold my h-p and got an e-machine, and she just chugs right along... no prob's. if you are getting this much trouble, no single answer, and maybe only a large book will correct the problem.
this problem basically appears if ur not the adminstrator or if ur adminstrator account is being used by some one else. the cause can be that ur adminstrator account has been dissabled or deleated-because of this u can not perform any control panel works. u will simply have to check ur windows if they r the original ones or not cause microsoft has made bugs that hit pirated windows and dissable their main functions which causes software abnormalities which all seem like hardware

malfunctions. reinstall windows dude.

u can also switch to firefox which is totally bug free and much faster.its also free.

Uninstall it in add/remove program under the control panel.

How do I get RID of this Yahoo Toolbar?? Click it off in 'View' and it keeps coming back next time I open IE.microsoft internet explorer

Go to the control panel and choose the add/remove program. You can remove the toolbar there. If you want you can then go to the program files folder and delete the toolbar folder as well. Make sure you don't have internet explorer on when you decide to remove it.
Right click on the header on IE and uncheck Yahoo Toolbar. I did this and it hid this, don't know why it's not working for you.

Go to the control panel, add/remove programs and go down till you see the yahoo toolbar and uninstall.
I've tried to get rid of it in Add/Remove programs but with no luck--the message I got said that it couldn't dp it and then the toolbar entry disappeared but the darn toolbar is still there. I also tried to reinstall my Google toolbar, which I do like, and instead I got a second Yahoo toolbar!!
try deleting Yahoo! Toolbar using Toolbar Registry.

Please do the following:

Unregister the Yahoo! Toolbar dll, by:

1. Clicking "Start %26gt; Run".

2. In the field type: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Companion\Installs\cpn\yt.d...

Note: Exercise caution when changing the Windows registry. Changing the wrong registry entry or making an incorrect entry for a setting can introduce an error that prevents Windows from starting or working properly. It is always suggested that you backup your registry before making any changes.

1. Navigate to this registry key by clicking the "+" signs:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Compa...

2. Be sure the above key is selected, then right-click to open the right-click menu, then press "Delete".

IE 6 didn't disappear, it's just hidden or packed away in your computer right now. The only way to get back to IE6 is to uninstall IE7 which you can do by navigating to this location:

"C:\WINDOWS\ie7\spuninst\"

And clicking on "spuninst.exe".

Or you could open up your "Start-%26gt;Run" and paste in the following:

C:\WINDOWS\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe /quiet /forcerestart

-= IF YOU GO THIS ROUTE YOUR COMPUTER WILL RESTART =-

Also, keep in mind that IE7 will be uninstalled.

You might also want to try Firefox. I switched to it recently because I do not like the user interface of IE7.

Hi,

I went through the same experience. The previous answers of going to your control panel screen, clicking on ADD/REMOVE programs and then selecting IE V7.0, and removing it are correct. But remember to reboot the system after doing this and like the other folks said your system should be back up running IE V6.0 or IE V6.1. HOWEVER, there are two potential dark areas: 1) If it does come back up OK with IE V6 then make sure that you go back and run MICROSOFT UPDATE to ensure that you pick up any latest patches to IE V6. 2) The worst scenario which I had was that I was running a BETA test version of IE V7.0 and tried the same process of deleting it and going back to IE V6. It sort of worked but all all of a sudden many programs, Internet sites, ACTIVE X entries, and even most JAVA applications stopped working (like they used to). If this similar situation occurs with your system you will need to either seek a seasoned expert or contact Microsoft Support, as you will have to manually "reinstall" (or recreate) certain software certificates and permissions. This was what I ran into when I was running the 2nd BETA version of Internet Explorer V7 and tried reverting back to V6.0

BEST OF LUCK

Does installing IE 7 RC1 require windows validation check? Will installing IE 7 RC1 remove IE 6?

Yes it does and yes it will. In fact it took me two installs and didn't work right in between.

Wait until they get the bugs worked out, it's not worth it yet. I had the beta version and it worked better than the actual. See if you can find that.

Does installing IE 7 RC1 require windows validation check? Will installing IE 7 RC1 remove IE 6?download ie

It requries validation and also overwrties IE6. You can bypass validation search in google

Does installing IE 7 RC1 require windows validation check? Will installing IE 7 RC1 remove IE 6?windows media player internet explorer

IE7 Final is out, try it out and it needs genuine windows ... but you can search the NET and ...
yes it will but if your computer is virus, spyware and malware free ie7 will run flawlessly
Yes it does require Validation and the Validation is done during the install. This means you can't download it from download sites to avoid the Vallidation.

No IE 7 doesn't remove IE 6 in XP. IE 6 is built into XP and will automatically reappear when IE 7 is uninstalled.
Yes, in order to install IE 7, you need to go through Microsoft's validation process. When you install IE 7, IE 7 writes itself over IE 6. However, there is a hack to bypass the WGA validation process and install IE 7. It is better to install the final version instead of the earlier betas and release candidates. Here is the article from ghacks.net which covers how to install IE 7 without WGA.

"How to Install IE7 bypassing the WGA check" -- written by ghacks.net (http://www.ghacks.net/2006/10/23/how-to-...

This story appeared earlier this day and I thought I pass it on to my readers here as well. Some people have troubles with the WGA checks even though they run a legit copy of Windows. The new Internet Explorer 7 performs a WGA check when you choose to install it, if that fails you can’t install it. This guide is for everyone who has this troubles.

You need to start by download the Internet Explorer installer from the Microsoft website and use Winrar to unpack the files contained in the installer to a dir on your hard drive. After that is done you download the iecustom.dll file and replace the orginal file in the upload folder with it. Once that is done run update.exe from within the update folder and choose to restart at a later time.

Download normaliz.dll and copy it into your system32 directory, restart your computer afterwards. Run xmllitesetup.exe which is located in the update folder as well. Restart your computer once more, once this is done the new IE 7 is ready to use.

You might run into troubles that normaliz.exe can’t be found on your system after the first reboot. If that is the case do the following.

1. Press ctrl-alt-del to go to the task manager.

2. Go to “File -%26gt; Run” in the task manager.

3. Type: ‘cmd’ and push enter. The command prompt window will appear.

4. Type: ‘copy c:\normaliz.dll c:\windows\system32\normaliz.dll’

A user reported that he was able to install Internet Explorer 7 by simply blocking the outgoing connection when the local WGA checks fails. He waited about one minute and then the installer continued.
Microsoft has released the final version of IE7 so u do not need to install RC1. U can download the final release from Microsoft website. If u want to install RC1 anyway it will require validation check. U can't get rid of that! And yes it will replace IE6. But u will be able to get IE 6 if u don't like IE 7. U can bypass WGA by simply disabling ur internet connection while installing IE7
yes to your first question and no to the second it sets a restore point in case you want to remove it it will roll back to the previous one you had thats through add and remove in control panel by the way

IE 7 is a total disaster - the number of people on here complaining about it and asking for help. Your best solution is just uninstall it - or do a system restore back to before you installed it and go back to the pervious version. don't upgrade stuff from microsfot until it's been well tested and a second version has come out - the software is always full of bugs and can trash your machine.

IE very slow to open.Opening IE might take 3 minutes. Might try 4/5 times, and after 4 or 5 min, all

I've run Webroot's Spy Sweeper. Also have Norton anti-virus, and have run Dell's troubleshooter, but to no avail. Been acting like this for months. For some time, if I went to MY COMPUTER and clicked on the C: drive, it would just never open. Looking at the task manager, the CPU would be at 100%, and nothing else would be running. Running XP Home Addition and have lots of RAM (640) and disk space.

IE very slow to open.Opening IE might take 3 minutes. Might try 4/5 times, and after 4 or 5 min, all are open.internet explorer update

There is a known conflict with Webroot Spysweeper and IE, if you haven't updated it the newest revision fixes this issue. I had the same problem and one of the update emails I got addressed this issue, I updated and the problem was gone.

UPDATE:

Don't listen to the lower post...Webroot Spysweeper is the industry leader in spyware protection. I have also used Spybot and yes it is a good product but free is free. Only Spysweeper can address Rootkits and eliminate them.

IE very slow to open.Opening IE might take 3 minutes. Might try 4/5 times, and after 4 or 5 min, all are open.web browser internet explorer

First thing... Uninstall Webroot and dell's trouble shooter. Go into services under admin tools and turn off Remote Registry. Go download Spybot S%26amp;D. Update it. Then reboot into safe mode. Run Spybot S%26amp;D. Reboot. Go download Firefox. NEVER USE IE AGAIN!
Something may be consuming your PC speed. RAM is not a lot (I have 2G), but it should be enough. If you set Norton AV to scan everything with the highest level of protection it really impacts the PC (nomatther which one).

Also too many services running at once can affect the computer, try disabling those you don't really use.

Search for errors and defrag your HD.

Remove temporary files, cookies, and the like.
also download http://www.ccleaner.com/ and run all scans to clean out your HDD for temp files. Also visit http://updates.microsoft.com/ %26amp; http://office.microsoft.com/ to update your windows to latest version.
i have a new computer, and it still made mine quicker on everything to defragment my hard drive. what this does is group all the files that work together in tight, neat orders on your hard drive. it can free up more space, but the important thing it does is arrange files in a manner to make your hard drive spend less time searching for what it needs. you can click 'start'(low left), 'control panel', 'permformance and maintenence', then click 'rearrange items on your hard disk to make programs run faster' then click 'analyze'... after it diagnoses the best way to arrange your files it will prompt you, then click 'defragment'. I'm telling you this will help speed up your computer, but there are things you may want to check beforehand. if there are alot of programs in your startup on your computer, it can lock it up to a standstill. you should be able to click 'start', hold your mouse on 'all programs' and see 'startup' in that long list. if you hold your mouse on that, you can see what loads automatically when your computer is first turned on. these are SHORTCUTS.. not the actual programs themselves, which are stored in other locations (like program files), you can delete all these shortcuts, and your computer will load these in a specific order, and as needed, instead of all of these at startup. also,if you havent checked for updates for your computer, its good to do so before defragmenting. and it doesnt hurt to just take 20 minutes and research. trial and error is the biggest teacher on here. type any question u have about doing something to you computer, and phrase it 5 different ways in yahoo searches. youre bound to get 5 different lists of links to research how u can do it. I have no doubt you can clean it up and make it faster. be patient, and if you get frustrated, leave it for awhile.stepping back from it can help u clear your mind to see it in a different perspective. have a great day,and i know you can handle it!! ;-) babyface p.s.- i see that someone also posted to update your webroot. though your updates may be set to come on automatically for windows, that would not update your webroot also. updating everything on your computer that are regular programs you use is something you should try to at least do every other week. good luck, and have fun with it girl!

Yes, you definitely have some spyware applications installed on your computer. It happens some times when you visit a random website that has automatically installed these programs into your computer (without realizing it - there are just some malicious people out there). Anyway, I had the same problem a year ago. This is what I did:

1. Download Hijack This (do a scan to view a log of your registry). Compare what you have on your system to see what has changed.

2. Download Ad-Aware and do a system scan.

3. Download Spysubtract and do a system scan.

4. Download Spybot Search and Destroy and do a system scan.

All of the above can be downloaded for free - with the exception of Spysubtract which will offer you with a free trial.

Once I did all of the above, it cleaned out my system.

Good luck.

IE problem, when I open IE, it opens as half a window, what do I do please, it's driving me mad!?microsoft.com internet explorer

Try clicking on the maximise tab at the upper right hand corner of the screen
i think you should just click the maximize button. and then exit the browser, and open it up again. if it is still small, then keep resizing it. EVENTUALLY it will be back to normal size.
Close all instances of IE... open one, if it opens small, maximise it, then close it and open IE again. If not work, reboot PC and repeat.
close explorer. then open it again. when the half window opens, extend it to the fullest by using your mouse and dragging the corners to the edge of the screen - don't use the square button option at the right hand corner to extend (as you would normally do). When this it is fully extended, go to file and select close window. Then select exit. Next time you go back into explorer, it should now open with a fully open window!
stretch it to the size you want then hold down shift and close the page.

Since IE is considered part of the system, you should be able to repair it by using System File Checker. Open a command prompt and type in

sfc /scannow

The system will check for any corrupted files, and will ask you to insert your Windows CD / DVD if it needs to copy some files. You can continue to use Firefox during this, but I would reboot after it is done if you want to use IE.

First update and scan your computer with your security products such as antivirus and antispyware applications. If you computer comes up clean after running your resident security products, you may want to consider running a System File Checker (SFC). This can be run in Safe Mode should you prefer. To get into Safe Mode either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. To run SFC, close all applications such as Office, Messenger, Email, etc, and go to:

- Start

- Run

- Type in sfc /scannow (include the space before the " / ")

What SFC does is that it attempts to fix or replace critical operating system files. Sometimes this can be done without the installation disk, however it may prompt you for the appropriate operating system installation disk. If that is the case, then you know that you definitely have file corruption or something missing. Insert the disk if prompted. Also you should run SFC using the Administrator account.

If you have the Vista operating system, the steps are a bit different due to the UAC. See the link below.

http://vistasupport.mvps.org/system_file...

Don't surf, play games or do anything while SFC runs. After it is completed, reboot your computer.

One of the major culprits in missing or corrupt operating system files is running a registry cleaner or optimizer. They can flag important shared files for deletion or cleanup. Another cause is malware.

NOTE: Before running any registry cleaner or editing the registry, always ensure you back it up first. If the registry cleaner you are using doesn't have that function, you can do it manually. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

DO NOT INSTALL IT. Who cares what Yahoo recommends..Yahoo is WRONG!!!

Show me where they recommend installing a beta version of IE that is not even released as a final release...

You will regret it. It is full of Bugs and Security exploits.
IE7 went full version today, but please be careful, there's a big flaw in it already, so best wait until its sorted. Please read about it here http://www.webuser.co.uk/news/98024.html
Assuming you are using Windows XP, it is not possible to remove IE6.

Just install the new version if you want to try it.

IF you had a previous (Beta) version of IE7, it is recommended to remove it before installing the new code.
NEVER EVER INSTAL IE 7.0 ..if u do ..u would be the next victim of IE 7.0...this version is not reliable...dont do this ..with that yahoo never recommends this version ..u have misconception..if yahoo says so..then even do nt install it..because there are many many bugs in this version which will COLLAPSE u entire WINDOWS. and even there is no "UNINSTALLER" attached with this version...DONT DO IT...."""HOW MANY TIMES I SUGGEST MY DEAR USERS TO NOT TO INSTALL IE 7.0 BUT..." its my clear recommendations again..that DONT DO IT..chaoo
LoL, you don't have to uninstall, IE7 will uninstall it while installing itself. Don't worry, you can get IE6 back from download.com.

Sounds like you have malware on your machine. Hit the Trend Micro website for free virus scan. They have the latest updates for malware/spyware.
Sounds like someone has managed to change your homepage to a rotator link. A rotator is apiece of software that changes the displayed page or graphic every time the page is accessed. They are used by indecisive marketers who are not sure what to promote and advertise 5 or more items at once.

Menu TOOLS, OPTIONS, MAIN tab and put the home page you want into the appropriate box and press OK. If it changes back after your next reboot, then there is a chance you have a virus and you will need to clean it out before you go any further. Chances are if you have this problem, any searches you do will jump to a strange search engine.

It is more likely to be an accidental change or someone else who has used your PC.
You must be having a spyware. Run a spyware check on your computer.

You can download Microsoft anti-spyware; it has a 30 day trial version, or just google for an anti spyware software.

It depends on what you are using to connect. There are Connection Settings under Tools: Internet Options. If you are connected to a network, you need to have the LAN settings checked. If you are on a network, in order to use IE, you may have to have your firewall disabled. Sometimes, depending on your internet connection, you may not want to take that chance.

If you have high speed internet, I would use firefox instead of IE because of the high incidence of viruses with IE and high speed.

its Yahoo toolbar beta if you are using it. that's causing the problem. I had the same problem till I removed it then installed the older version. of course the new IE isn't the best browser to be using because it has a lot of loop holes in it still.

Downloaded newest ie and now when I close out a web site/page ie closes out completely.?microsoft project internet explorer

Look, you have tabs in the browser. Each tab is a different web site. So when you click the x in the top corner, you close all the tabs. Anyway, IE7 has a lot of malfunctions and bugs in it so it acts bad. I have told many people about this.
Wellll, we have IE7, also. If you only have one tab open and you click the redX (upper far right), then the browser closes because there is no longer a connection with any website. However, if you have 2 or more tabs open, then when you click the redX, you should get a message asking if you want to close out everything or if you want to be able to reopen everything right where you left off next time you open IE7. If you just want to close out one of the tabs, then click on the X on the tab.

We just played around with it, clicked on all the buttons and arrows until we got the hang of it. We also discovered you can change some of the tab settings (Tools, Internet Options, General tab, Settings for Tabs). You can even have multiple homepages open all at once! You can get your Main menu back by clicking on Tools, Menu Bar. Also, you'll find your favorites by clicking the yellow star to the far left of your screen.

Yahoo is a site and not a browser. You want yahoo as your home page. do the following.

Open IE 6.0, go to the Tools menu, Internet Options submenu. A pop up will open. Select the General tab. Under the header Home page type in the following.

http://www.yahoo.com. Click on OK and restart IE 6.0 again.
start control panel internet options and adjust home page.
I was going to have to say I have no idea but it looks like you already got a lot to work with. I got the "Yahoo! Browser" with my ISP which is AT%26amp;T Yahoo.

When you get it re-setup though can I suggest going to http://www.mozilla.org/download.html and getting Mozilla instead? As a browser I like it much better. All so has some great add-ons and toolbars you can hide if not using.

Forget IE7. Leave it where it is.

Get Firefox 2.0 and check out all the add-ons that can make your surfing easier and fun. Add-ons are small (only kB's in size) and easily installed into the browser.

(True, some webpages are best rendered by IE, but if you get the add-on called IE Tabs, you can view in an IE tab without any problem. The add-on can be activated or deactivated whenever you want by clicking an icon in the lower right of your browser.)

I installed IE 7.0. Now every time I go to IE, it shows the infamous "page cannot be displayed" error. help!windows media internet explorer

I suggest unistalling it I had problems with it bad. Would not let me check my e-mails or nothing. Not a good thing
Okay. IE7 fixes previous browser cache problems... sort of, except when you started with a browser cache from IE6 that was too large. When the browser cache becomes too large, you will experience the classic "Page cannot be displayed" error.

Try this:

Go to Tools, Internet Options, on the General Tab under Browsing History, select Settings. Change the "Disk space to use" to 50 (that's 50 MB). Click OK. Now under Browsing History, select Delete... Delete the temporary Internet files and the history. Do not delete the cookies or the passwords.

Most probably, the above will fix your problem.

If it does not, then you will need to consider the possibility of third party software incompatibility problems. The most likely culprit will be a third party firewall product. Some third party firewall products are infamous for continuing to block even after they have been turned off. The solution is to uninstall the product and then reinstall - if you are so inclined to continue to use it.

Going back to IE6 is a bit tough. The default on install for IE7 is to over write IE6. For all-practicable-purposes that means IE6 doesn't exist on your computer any more. You could Google (I don't know why I always say Google鈥擸ahoo has a perfectly good search engine as well) the term "IE6" you'll be surprised at all the places you can get the program.

The problem then may be that you can't have them both residing on your computer at the same time. (I haven't tried this as I have zero interest in Internet Explorer.) Just one way Microsoft makes life鈥攁hem鈥攅asier.

This is a bit of a bind. But, assuming that you really don't want to be hassled right now, just do your download of IE6. Then you can safely Uninstall IE7, and re-install IE6. I would expect that Microsoft has a number of nasty surprises awaiting those who don't want the hassle of IE7 after they downloaded and installed it.

Fear not I have an alternative suggestion. Get Firefox 2.0 instead. It is Open Source鈥攆ree. For the 200,000,000 people who have downloaded Firefox there are so few gripes that none has ever registered on my desk top. And, once you learn how to use it, you will never wait for five years for an update for you to learn all over. The program has "micro-updates avery few days to weeks. They politely wait for you to agree to install them鈥擮h, and they work!

These things are all true because the improvements and changes come one at a time, as they are available from thousands of people who are working on the browser in their spare time.

Well, you might ask, just who oversees the quality of all of these people? Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit corporation that keeps everyone headed in the same general direction and makes decisions among the very dedicated volunteers.

The result Firefox 2.0 for browsing, Thunderbird 1.5.0.7 for email, Sunbird beta Calendar.

upgrade...more security..

but ild advice getting firefox..

faster, more secure
To tell the truth the Only reason to upgrade to IE7 is because of it can show transparent PNG's, Though Firefox and Opera does that aswell, IE7 is a bit more sluggy, I would just reccomend Firefox or Opera.
I prefer IE6 even though IE7 is more secure. I'm not a fan of tabbed browsers.

Unfortunately Vista users haven't a choice. They can't retrograde to IE6 and are stuck with IE7.
dont upgrade, IE7 has caused me more problems in a week than in the year ive had the computer, don't bother upgrading just switch to firefox, there's more security and no popups (which is always a good thing :P)
If you wish to stick with IE, then I would suggest you to upgrade to IE7, is more secure and features are quite similar to Firefox.

I downloaded IE 7 and it doesn't work with my version of Yahoo. Is it possible to go back to IE

People don't have a version of Yahoo!. Yahoo! is owned by a certain organization and is the same for all users because it is on the internet. Perhaps you meant that IE 7 is not compatible with your version of Windows. That's probably not the case. Try uninstalling IE 7 and reinstalling it again. Maybe your file is corrupted, so you may want to download IE 7 again to see if that is the case. If it doesn't work, you can revert back to IE 6 by uninstalling IE 7 and reinstalling IE 6 (you need to download the file first).

Do you have system restore on your pc? If so, it may be possible to go back to before the install of IE 7. I am not real computer savvy, but have had to use this option before myself. Good luck!
Yes, but first you must download and save the IE6 and then delete the IE7 from add remove programs and then reinstall IE6. I prefer fire fox as it has the same advantages as IE7 but is much better and allows the Yahoo! and Google toolbars as well as the tab features.
I would agree with the previous answer... you should perhaps use FireFox as it is safer, faster... plus it has lots of plug-ins for you to improve your web-surfing experience.
Hi there

Go to control panel, add remove programs, there must be a rollback oprion before IE7. use it and you are on IE6 again.

Otherwise, system restor your pc to a little earlier date.

If none of the two works, then download and install Mozilla firefox and set it as your default browser.

But it would be better if you troubleshoot your messenger to get it working with IE7.

The Yahoo Toolbar works with IE7 just fine. I agree that if you are having problems with it, it's because IE7 is corrupt. I downloaded IE7 and had all kind of problems. I was getting all kinds of error messages about files missing, and just about everything else not working properly.

Like all good IE users I cussed MS and IE7, all the engineers involved in the design, their families and their families families.

I went back to IE6 and still had tons of problems. So I cussed some more.

So I tried Firefox and when it didn't work, I cussed even more. I think by now I was blaming God for my problems.

So then I tried Opera, I just knew it would work OK. It said to be the best Browser available. Well, I did a lot more cussi'n.

Then I had an epiphany!!!!!! Maybe, just maybe, it wasn't the Browsers at fault but, my Windows XP! DUH!

So I did a Backup of my data files and took the Dive. The dive into a reformat. Not the Destructive Recovery but a reformat from the Recovery Disks I made when the computer was new.

Well, no more cussi'n. Everything works great. IE7 has a few minor problems but I can work around those. I use it with the Yahoo Toolbar.

If you are having a lot of problems, I would do the reformat and get back to IE 6 that way. Then download the Yahoo Toolbar. Then try IE7 again. Just download IE7 and it will remove IE6 but transfer the Yahoo Toolbar to IE7 without the tabs. Since IE7 has tabs, you don't need Yahoo to bave tabs.

Good Luck. Quit cussi'n IE 7. The problem is in your computer.

First you need to click the link below and it will show you how to remove the branded version of Internet Explorer. If you just uninstall Internet Explorer optimized for Yahoo! and install the version from Microsoft, it will still have the Yahoo! branding.

I would recommend using Firefox instead of IE. It's far less buggy and less prone to viruses also. It has lots of really nifty extensions, too, is skinnable and oh, tons of nifty stuff.

You can get it for free at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Dump the IE7 it will slow down your computer and drag files out, It expanded one of my files from two pages to 37 pages, Try reclaiming that.
Go to your contol panel, click on add remove program, check and see if IE installed with yahoo tool bar seperate (as a seperate program listed in add remove for tool bar). You can then click on uninstall one or both as needed. Before uninstalling IE go to Microsoft home and suppot and download a clean new version and upgrade to IE7 without add on tool bars.Just recently downloaded IE7 with no problems, working great.

Also have Fire Fox browser downloaded with out any add on tool bars such as Google or Yahoo.Did this to be able to check display of my web site on different browsers. The only thing I do not like on Fire Fox is E-mail setup.
Ok - big question #1 is....

You used to have SBC or AT%26amp;T Yahoo as an ISP huh?

And Question #2 would be - is the browser working right?

Reason I said that is because they have the IE software shell on the disk. Not the IE software.

It functions almost the same as IE - BUT...It basically works like this: The browser itself uses IE functionality but is not IE per se. (confusing I know)

Basically though,

if it has the rocketship down in the startup menu (by the clock in right lower corner of your screen) when you launch it...it's the SBCYahooDSL or AT%26amp;T Yahoo/Dial browser. There's a specific order you need to uninstall the SBC or AT%26amp;T software in if you'd like to get rid of the SBC or AT%26amp;T Yahoo browser.

If it is ONLY IE and it says Internet Explorer at the top it should not say powered by Yahoo on it.

My suggestion would be to uninstall the SBC software (if you are not using it anymore) and go with plain ol IE or firefox or even Netscape.

I'm gonna provide a link to get help on uninstalling SBC or AT%26amp;T software.

Hope this helps.

I have two ideas for you :

1.go to control panel %26gt; add or remove programs %26gt; search for IE7 and click remove , you will find your IE 6 is back .

2. go to http://downint.googlepages.com/Firefox.h...

There are other ways, but the directions will be different depending on which browser you're using. This works no matter which browser you are using. If you want to clear the searches from the search box menu on Yahoo or Google pages, double click the search box, this will make a menu drop down with your searches, put your cursor on what you want to delete to highlight it, hit the delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete everything just hold the delete button down until everything is deleted.

If you want to clear the search history and disable the feature entirely so none of your searches are saved, do the following:

Internet Explorer 6

To clear the search box history on Yahoo! and Google pages %26gt; on Internet Explorer toolbar click Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Content tab %26gt; under Personal information, click the AutoComplete box, on the AutoComplete Settings window click the Clear Forms box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history, click OK.

Internet Explorer 7

To clear the search box history on Yahoo! and Google pages %26gt; on Internet Explorer 7 toolbar click Tools %26gt; Delete Browsing History %26gt; Delete history and Delete forms.

On Internet Explorer 7, to stop the generation of the search box history on Yahoo! and Google pages, click Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Content tab %26gt; under AutoComplete, click Settings and uncheck the Forms box %26gt; click OK.

To clear the searches on Yahoo Toolbar:

If you have the the new Yahoo! Toolbar, click the Settings (avatar) button located next to the Bookmarks Button and click Clear Recent Searches. To stop saving search history, click the Settings button and un-check Remember Remember Recent Searches, or click Toolbar Options and un-check Auto-clear recent searches when exiting IE.

If you have the older Yahoo! Toolbar, click the pencil icon beside the search box and click Clear Recent Searches.

I am pretty sure running the "winsock XP fix" should solve this issue. I think firefox is able to bypass the Socket problems that is causing an issue with your other programs.

Do you have some sort of firewall program installed on your computer? It sounds as though something is blocking certain programs. If you do try disabling it temporarily to see if the problem continues.
open your intenet explorer and check whether it is checked work offline if it is then just turn it on and should be fine everything and also check the firewall rules of your router and windows or antivirus firewall and internet security option of windows. Good luck solving your problem.

When I remove IE 7 will IE 6 automaticly be there?

I think the answer is, yes, because I haven't removed it or deleted it in any way, but just need to hear it from someone else. Still a little nervous about some of these things. Thanks for your help. GranEEKandoooo

How do I... Uninstall Microsoft Internet Explorer 7?

by Mark Kaelin | More from Mark Kaelin | 11/16/06

http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/510...

Uninstall IE7

If your installation of IE7 was successful and uneventful, then uninstalling it is relatively simple process. The following steps will uninstall IE7 and restore IE 6.

1.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.Click Add or Remove Programs.

3.Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.

If for some reason Windows Internet Explorer 7 does not appear in the Add or Remove Programs you should:

1.Open Windows Explorer

2.Click Tools | Folder Options

3.Click the View tab

4.Make sure the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders is on

5.Click OK

6.Click Start, and then click Run

7.Type: %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe into the text box and click Enter

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

1.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.Click Add or Remove Programs.

3.Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.

If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Run, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then press ENTER.

Note: %windir% is the location of your Windows directory, which can usually be found at C:\Windows. To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.

If you find yourself still needing help uninstalling Internet Explorer 7, check out the IE7 release notes found on the Microsoft MSDN Web site.

No it won't, you must go to the microsoft website, get an IE6 installer, and then uninstall IE7. Why do you want IE6 instead of IE7 though? IE7 is much more secure. I use Firefox, which in my opinion, is better than both.
You can't go backwards from IE 7, there is no option to do that, sorry. If you don't like it I recommend going to Firefox, it looks more like IE 6, runs great and fast, and is generally a good browser.
no it not gonn be there you upgrade the software its mean you have been remove that if you want to go back use the system restore
The Humble One is RIGHT!! you can uninstall 7, and when it does, it will go back to 6. I have done this also and it works.
First uninstall IE7

It might give you an option to go back

If IE6 didn't work, run IE6 installer
