IE 7 tabs opening without reason?

A few times when I've opened a link in tab, about a million tabs suddenly opens - and all contains the same page - and they don't stop at all, just continually open forever. I have no idea what triggers this, but is there any way to prevent it or stop it?

Sounds like a bug! You might have spyware running on your machine. Try downloading SpyBot and running a scan.

Is probably spam, try using other browser like firefox for example.

Check your home page in settings there could be multiple pages listed. Delete the ones you don't want.
it could be many different things, but here's a tip...if you see an email address that is a link that you can click on, DONT CLICK ON IT.

instead just copy it and paste it into your email program and send the email from there.
Check out the window where you set up "current" home page.

What happened to me and I didn't realized it, was I had foxnews.com typed 3 times in the "home page" window and it caused 3 new tabs opened at once.
